Fall Juried Exhibition 2017 - Carnegie Gallery at Main Library

Since 1910, Ohio Art League’s annual juried exhibitions have been the backbone of the organization's artistic programming, showcasing contemporary work by Ohio artists. For each exhibition, our juror's are invited to recognize work of high artistic merit. This year’s jurors of esteem are Sarah Fairchild, Brooklyn based artist and Chet Domitz of Hammond Harkins Galleries in the Short North.

Jurors of Esteem

Sarah Fairchild is a painter and printmaker working in Bushwick, Brooklyn. Her work addresses a deep concern for the environment and sustainable food sources, while also investigating the hand-made verses the mass-produced. A Columbus College of Art and Design graduate, she served over 10 years on the Ohio Art League’s Board of Trustees, two as board president. Sarah’s work can be found in several public and private collections. Her work was selected for publication in New American Paintings, International Painting Annual and Studio Visit Magazine.

Chet Domitz has an MA in Economics and BA in Art History. He has worked at Hammond Harkins Galleries since 2010 in a variety of capacities, using his background in business and the arts in the gallery’s day-to-day operations as well as its long-term planning. More recently, he is the main contributor to the forthcoming Greater Columbus Convention Center Art Collection, a catalog featuring works by over 125 artists who are part of the GCCC Art Collection that was funded by the Franklin County Convention Facilities Authority. Chet has also worked for the GCAC Columbus Arts Festival as a member of the Coordinating Committee for the Artists’ Market. He enjoys working with artists, learning about the arts in Columbus and beyond, and engaging the public through exhibitions and one-on-one discussions about art.
